Establishments that have received the Welcome Cyclist designation offer cyclists basic services such as a safe place to store their bike, an air pump, refreshments, light snacks, and information about local routes and attractions. The designation indicates that cyclists are genuinely welcome—in their gear and straight from the road.

What is the Welcome Cyclist designation?
The Welcome Cyclist designation is designed to make a cyclist’s life easier when searching for suitable services: those places and services where cyclists know they are always welcome and that offer slightly better-than-usual services for those exploring on two wheels. Businesses can join the Welcome Cyclist program by offering a few cycling-friendly services that make traveling by bike smooth and effortless.
The Welcome Cyclist designation can be applied for by accommodation services, restaurants or cafés, bike rental shops, bike repair services, visitor attractions, buses, taxis, and bicycle ferries and boats.
Businesses that receive the designation are added to Bikeland’s cycling tourism map and thus benefit from Finland’s joint cycling tourism marketing. The designation can also be added to the company’s product card in Visit Finland’s data hub.
